Vaiyuh connects startups and investors for networking and potential investment discussions. This Privacy Policy explains how Vaiyuh Platforms Pvt. Ltd. ("Vaiyuh", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.
For the purposes of this policy, Vaiyuh is the "Data Fiduciary" and you are the "Data Principal." By using the Platform and providing your consent, you agree to this policy.
1.Information We Collect
Startup Profiles
We collect: company name and logo; company description; founder names and photos; business model and industry; traction metrics; pitch document (optional); fundraising amount; funding stage; investment type sought; business email address; and Certificate of Incorporation and CIN (for verification).
Investor Profiles
We collect: name and profile photo; short biography; investment activity status; investor category (Angel, VC, VC Fund, etc.); and email address.
Platform Activity Data
We collect: profile views and repeat views; interest signals and swipe actions; signal-score insights; chat messages; shared documents; voice notes; and reports submitted. We also collect limited technical/device and log data needed to operate and secure the Platform.
2.How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: create and display profile cards; enable matching between startups and investors; facilitate chat and document exchange; verify startup authenticity; generate engagement insights; prevent misuse or fraud; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
3.Legal Basis & Consent
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent and, where applicable, for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act (such as fraud prevention and complying with law). You may withdraw your consent at any time as described in Section 9; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out and may limit your ability to use parts of the Platform.
4.How We Share Your Information
We share personal data only as needed to run the Platform:
- With other Users, as described in Section 5 (Public Visibility);
- With service providers / data processors who host, secure, communicate or analyse data on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations;
- With authorities where required by law, regulation or valid legal process;
- In connection with a merger, acquisition or transfer of the business, with notice to you.
We do not sell your personal data or share it for third-party advertising.
5.Public Visibility
Startup profiles are visible to registered investors, and investor profiles are visible to registered startups. Chat conversations remain private between matched Users.
6.Email Verification
Startup Users must verify their business email address via a one-time code before account activation.
7.Children's Data
The Platform is intended only for Users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it.
8.Data Security, Storage & Breach Notification
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data; however, no digital platform can guarantee absolute security. Your data is stored on servers located in India. Where data is transferred outside India, we do so in accordance with the DPDP Act and Rules. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected Users and the Data Protection Board of India as required, including within the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Rules, 2025 (currently 72 hours for affected Data Principals).
9.Data Retention
We retain your data while your account remains active or as required under applicable law. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion: your profile will no longer be visible on the Platform; active matches will be disconnected; and certain data may be retained for compliance, fraud-prevention or legal purposes as permitted under applicable law, after which it is erased.
10.Your Rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you may:
- Request access to your personal data and a summary of how it is processed;
- Request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request erasure of your personal data;
- Withdraw your consent at any time;
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
- Seek grievance redressal (Section 11) and, if unsatisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

12.Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will revise the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, notify you within the app. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the mobile application, website and platform known as Vaiyuh (the "Platform"), operated by Vaiyuh Platforms Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated under the laws of India ("Company", "we", "us", "our").
By accessing or using the Platform, you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1.Definitions
"Platform" means the mobile application, website, software and related services operated by the Company.
"User Content" means any data, profiles, documents, messages, voice notes or materials uploaded or shared by Users.
"Startup User" means any user registering as a startup entity.
"Investor User" means any user registering as an investor.
"Services" means matchmaking, profile discovery, communication tools and related digital features.
2.Nature of Services
The Platform is a technology marketplace facilitating discovery and communication between startups and investors. We act solely as an intermediary. The Company:
- Does not provide financial, legal, tax or investment advice;
- Does not broker transactions;
- Does not hold or handle User funds;
- Does not guarantee investments, funding or outcomes.
All decisions, communications and transactions occur independently between Users.
3.Eligibility & Representations
You represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old;
- You are legally competent to contract;
- All information you provide is true, accurate and current;
- You have the authority to act on behalf of any entity you represent.
Misrepresentation may result in immediate suspension or termination.
4.Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity occurring under your account. The Company is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to keep credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized use.
5.User Content & Licence
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute your User Content solely for operating, providing and improving the Platform. This licence ends when you delete the relevant User Content or your account, except for copies retained as required by law or for legitimate backup/fraud-prevention purposes.
You warrant that you have all rights to the content you upload and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.
6.Verification Disclaimer
Any verification documents collected (such as a Certificate of Incorporation or CIN) are used for internal risk-reduction only. The Company does not certify authenticity, does not endorse any User, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any profile or information. Users must conduct their own independent due diligence before relying on any other User or entering into any dealing.
7.Prohibited Activities
You shall not:
- Provide false or misleading information;
- Impersonate any person or entity;
- Engage in fraud or any illegal activity;
- Upload unlawful, infringing, defamatory or abusive content;
- Attempt to manipulate, reverse-engineer, scrape or hack the Platform;
- Use the Platform for money laundering or any prohibited financial conduct.
Violation may result in suspension or termination and, where appropriate, referral to authorities.
8.Data Security & Breach Limitation
The Company implements reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. However, you acknowledge that no system is completely secure and that breaches may occur despite safeguards. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for unauthorized access, data loss, cyber incidents or third-party attacks, except where caused by the Company's gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Our handling of personal data and breach notification is governed by the Privacy Policy.
9.No Warranties
The Platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." The Company disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including as to accuracy of User Content, uninterrupted or error-free service, successful matches, and any financial outcomes.
10.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for investment losses, business failures, lost profits or opportunities, reputational harm, indirect or consequential damages, or disputes between Users. The Company's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to the Company (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees and affiliates from any claims, losses or expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, your User Content, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your disputes with other Users.
12.Suspension & Termination
The Company may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, legal compliance, or at its reasonable discretion. Termination does not limit the Company's other legal rights or remedies.
13.Intellectual Property
All Platform software, branding, design, trademarks and technology are owned by the Company. No rights are granted to you except the limited right to use the Platform as permitted by these Terms.
14.Moderation Rights & Access Restrictions
The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to monitor Platform activity, review User Content and interactions, remove content deemed inappropriate or harmful, issue warnings, temporarily suspend accounts, permanently terminate access, and restrict features for specific Users. Such action may be taken where a User is found to violate these Terms, abuse or harass others, engage in fraudulent or unlawful conduct, compromise platform safety or integrity, or repeatedly receive valid reports from other Users.
Provided actions are taken in good faith to protect the Platform and its Users, the Company shall not be liable for account suspension, content removal, access restriction or termination decisions, and is not obligated to provide justification for moderation actions.
15.Third-Party Services & Links
The Platform may integrate or link to third-party services. The Company is not responsible for the content, policies or practices of any third party, and your use of such services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
16.Modifications
The Company may update these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice within the app. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
17.Governing Law, Jurisdiction & Arbitration
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gurugram, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to arbitration below. Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably; failing which, it shall be referred to binding arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated at Gurugram, India, conducted in English.
18.Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, the Grievance Officer for the Platform is:
We will acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and endeavour to resolve them within 15 days of receipt.
19.General
These Terms (with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Platform. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign ours to an affiliate or successor. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control (force majeure). Notices to you may be given within the app or by email. Sections relating to User Content licence, IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law and these general terms survive termination.
